Landscape design! Who has experience?
I want to get some work done on both the front yard and the back yards of my house. There is quite a large area for work to be done and I think it could look really nice. My vision is to transform our home into a small piece of heaven, where we can sit and really enjoy the view as we relax. 😎
I was thinking of hiring a professional landscape design company, but I’m not sure if that’s the right way to go. What do you guys think?PikachuMemberTopics: 2
Hiring a professional landscape designer will cost ya. What’s your budget like? Are you willing to spend a little money on this landscape project?
Oh yeah. I’m aware of how costly everything could be, but I’m willing to invest some money into making the house look good.PikachuMemberTopics: 2
In that case, you’ll want to find a reliable & trustworthy landscape design company near your area. One company that I’ve actually used in the past is Royal Decks. Great team, great services. I like the fact that they clean as they work, so they didn’t leave any mess around my house, which is something I’m normally VERY fussy about.
That sounds perfect. There’s nothing that irks me more than a messy contractor that doesn’t tidy up after themselves. I have bookmarked their website and will keep them in mind, thanks!orlyrileyMemberTopics: 0
You know, even if you called someone to do the work for you, my advice to you is to try and learn from them. Pick up some tips, ask them a couple of questions, try to learn a new thing or two from the pros.
In the future, you’ll need to be able to do some simple maintenance work on your own. If you keep relying on their services, it could get pretty expensive for you. As the old adage goes, give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day, but teach a man to fish and he’ll eat for the rest of his life. Same motto applies here.bestlifeMemberTopics: 2
Whoever you call, just make sure they offer great customer service. Personally, I CANNOT tolerate rude, abrupt answers. I have had experiences where it sounded like the contractors were annoyed that I called! It was as if I had put them out and they wanted me to hang up! Needless to say, I never called them again. 😠😠😠hashbrownMemberTopics: 0
The best way to find a good landscape designer is through your neighbours. Take a look around the neighbourhood and see who has the best lawn. Chances are that they probably hired a professional to clean it up for them. Ask for their references and voila – you’ll have a good landscape designer too!
